Working alongside teachers you will provide personalised support o help children access learning, develop communication skills and enjoy making a positive impact.The RoleAs a Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties Assistants, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Providing the one-to-one and small group support tailored to each child needsAssisting with sensory - based learning activities that encourage engagement and developmentSupporting children with personal care and mobility where required, while maintaining dignity and respectUsing communication methods, such as Makaton, PECS, symbols or communication aids to help pupils express themselves.Building strong, trusting relationships with childrenAbout youThis Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties Assistant will be suitable for someone who is patient, empathetic and committed to supporting children with complex needs. Previous Experience in education, care, healthcare or support work is beneficial but not essential.
