Job Description
Job Title: Governance and Compliance ManagerLocation: London or WhitstableRole OverviewThe Governance and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that allaccount activities operate in line with the clients governance and controlrequirements, and internal policies, regulatory obligations, legal requirements and industry best practice. The role provides leadership in governance, assurance, compliance and continuous improvement, ensuring robust controls are embedded across all retail project delivery activities.Governance and Compliance Partner with the Key Account Manager to implement governance, complianceand process improvements across the account. Ensure all projects comply with the governance set out in the frameworks;controls, assurance requirements and audit standards. Monitor compliance with clients policies, organisational procedures andregulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments, identify compliance gaps and coordinatemitigation actions. Develop, maintain and continuously improve policies, procedures and controlmechanisms. Ensure all project documentation is submitted through the appropriategovernance channels and meets required standards. Maintain compliance with the clients Electronic Data Management Systemrequirements by ensuring all files are named consistently and in accordancewith governance standards. Ensure project teams adhere to the processes and policies outlined within the PPTM framework. Update The Key Event Schedule and Smartsheets to ensure that all keyproject milestones are up to date. Manage and monitor submissions and key milestones. Raising changecontrol for any key milestone changes. Manage and adhere to client process via SmartSheets Platform including,Start on Site Readiness Reports, Gateway Checklists, Change Control,Material Change, Risk Registers and CSQs. Raising contractual documentation for execution on Docusign including PCCertificates.Project Assurance and Quality Control Oversee governance and assurance activities across the delivery of retailprojects. Manage quality control reviews of CP Packs, ensuring consistency, accuracyand compliance. Monitor project milestones and governance submissions to ensure auditreadiness. Coordinate internal and external audits, including Deep Dive Reviews, PackAudits and HSQE Audits. Lead remediation activities arising from audit findings and compliance reviews Respond efficiently to Gateway and EDMS applicable checks.Performance and Resource Management Analyse KPIs, identify trends and implement improvement initiatives toenhance performance. Conduct weekly resource reviews to forecast workload demands andproactively manage capacity 2-3 weeks in advance. Develop monitoring mechanisms to improve visibility of outputs, risks anddelivery performance.Training and Continuous Improvement Deliver governance and compliance training for new team members. Drive awareness of governance requirements and accountability across theteam. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, qualityand compliance. Use AI and automation tools to improve team effectiveness, productivity andreporting capabilities.TPBN1_UKTJ
