TheroleGroundMaintenanceOperativeReportingtoourlocalEstateServicesManageryouwillbeexpectedtodeliveraconsistentlyhigh-qualitygardeningandgroundsmaintenanceservice.Youwillbeprovidedwithtoolsandmachinerytohelpyouundertakeyourtasksandwewillsupplyyouwithanewuniform,safetybootsandpersonalprotectiveequipment.Youwillneedtohavetheabilitytoworkoutsideinallweathersandbeabletoundertakephysicallydemandingwork.Thelocation:GroundMaintenanceOperativeThisisapermanentfull-timeposition.AmobilerolecoveringChertseyandsurroundingareas.ForthisroleyoumustholdafullcleanUKdrivinglicenseWhatyoullbedoing:GroundMaintenanceOperativeCarryoutarangeoftasksrequiredforgroundsmaintenanceincluding,butnotlimitedto,weeding,deadheading,hoeing,planting,pruning,cutting,andwateringcommunalbeds.Cutandmaintainlawnsandgrassareastoavarietyoffinishes(finetoroughmeadowtype)usingavarietyofmachines,includingpedestrianoperated,tractors&ride-onmowers,strimmersandbrushcutters,andincludingfertilizerandpesticideapplication.Useandoperateavarietyoftools,machinery,andequipment,inaccordancewithGroupandmanufacturersguidelines,inordertofulfilduties.Planandexecutesmallscalelandscapingoperations,asdirected,toenhancetheappearanceofourcommunalgrounds.Removeleaves,mossandsnowasrequired,andapplysalt/gritasdirected.Respondpromptlytoactsofvandalism,includinggraffiti,andreportallincidentstotheneighbourhoodhub.Onthejobsupervisionandcoachingofapprentices/traineesfromtimetotimeasdirectedReportanyrepairsordefectsincommunalareastomaintenancedepartment/linemanagerandfollowupactionsasrequired.Reportsuspectedbreachesofthetenancyagreement/leasetotheHousingServicesManagere.g.,anti-socialbehaviour,subletting,rubbishdumping,itemsleftincommunalareasetc.Providecoverintheabsenceofothercolleagues.Beapointofcontactforresidents,assistwherepossibleorreferenquiriestocolleagues.Beawareofvulnerablecustomersand,whereappropriate,highlighttheirneedstoyourlinemanager/HousingTeamActinafriendly,polite,andprofessionalwayatalltimes,evenwhenchallengedbyresidentsorvisitorstotheestate.UnderstandyourresponsibilitiesasanemployeeunderHealthandSafetylegislation.Whatyoullneed:GroundMaintenanceOperativeExperienceofundertakinggardening/groundmaintenancedutiesExperienceofworkinginsmallteamsBasicknowledgeandunderstandingofhealthandsafetyconsiderationsastheyapplytothisrole.ValidUKdrivinglicencewithcategoryC1andabilitytodrivecompanyvehiclesasandwhenrequired.TPBN1_UKTJ
