General Yard Operative - Waste & RecyclingWe are currently recruiting for a General Yard Operative to join a busy and fast-paced waste and recycling operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining a safe working environment, and works well as part of a team.The RoleAs a General Yard Operative, you will support the day-to-day running of the recycling yard and processing areas. Duties will include sorting recyclable materials, maintaining cleanliness across the site, and assisting with deliveries and collections.Duties IncludeWorking on a picking station removing materials for further processingLitter picking and general housekeeping around the yardUsing a tablet to input deliveries and collections and take photographs of materials on siteIdentifying, separating, and processing different grades of ferrous and non-ferrous metalsMaintaining high housekeeping and safety standards at all timesSupporting the wider team to ensure the site operates efficiently and safelyCommunicating effectively with colleagues and management during shift handoversWhat We're Looking ForPrevious yard, recycling, warehouse, or labouring experience is desirableComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsGood communication skills and a strong team-working attitudeReliable, hardworking, and safety-consciousBasic IT skills and confidence using a tablet/deviceAbility to carry out physical work throughout the shiftWorking HoursMonday to FridayWorking hours between 07:00 and 17:00Occasional Saturday shifts may be requiredThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company within the waste and recycling industry, offering stable ongoing work and a supportive team environment.If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.TPBN1_UKTJ
