\n\nThe Role\n
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical engineering projects within the nuclear industry. Working closely with engineering, commercial and project delivery teams, you will ensure estimates are technically robust, commercially competitive and aligned with client requirements.

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical engineering projects.
\nReview drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
\nObtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
\nProduce accurate material take-offs and labour estimates.
\nIdentify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
\nLiaise with clients, engineers and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
\nSupport bid reviews and presentations where required.
\nMaintain accurate estimating records and pricing databases.
\n\nAbout You\n
\n
To be successful as a Mechanical Estimator, you will have:
\nPrevious experience as a Mechanical Estimator within engineering, building services or industrial projects.
\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems and installation methodologies.
\nExcellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
\nExperience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
\nStrong communication and organisational skills.
\nA proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
\nThe following experience would be advantageous:
\nNuclear sector experience.
\nMechanical engineering.
\nBuilding Services.
\nHVAC.
\nProcess engineering.
\nIndustrial or highly regulated environments.
\nCandidates with transferable estimating experience from engineering, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation or other complex mechanical environments are encouraged to apply.
