We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provision supporting pupils aged 7-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The provision delivers a nurturing, therapeutic and child-centred approach, helping learners build confidence, develop essential life skills and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. No two days are the same, and you will be working closely with teachers and wider professionals to create a positive and engaging learning environment for every learner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting teaching and learning activities across the curriculum
\n
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
\n
• Assisting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs
\n
• Encouraging independence, communication and life skills development
\n
• Supporting positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation
\n
• Helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
\n
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
\n
• Participating in educational visits, enrichment activities and therapeutic interventions
\n
• Always promoting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
\n
