Job Description
An excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation responsible for the inspection, maintenance and management of major highway networks across the UK
\nYou will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and condition of the road network
\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Responsible for inspections of the geographical area within set routine and cyclical inspection regime, and ad-hoc inspection when required whether driven or walked; \n
- Responsible for identifying defects which pose a risk to highways users and devising the best solution for rectification \n
- Raising works on the asset management system with the relevant priority category and closing jobs when done. \n
- Attend site daily and use mobile devices to record inspections and raising works \n
- Responsible for inspection of own and 3rd parties works on the network which includes undertaking of inspections of works at all stages of construction to ensure they are done safely to specification. \n
- Assisting the Duty Road Manager in submitting permits for own works and for granting permits for 3rd parties works including reviewing traffic management plans and site meetings as required \n
- Undertaking regular health and safety audits for internal and external workforce \n
- Assisting the management team in reviewing of works programme and method statements and risk assessments and following any processes required to facilitate pre-construction stage of any projects when required \n
- Covering night shift supervisor shifts when required \n
Experience
\n- \n
- NRSWA Supervisor or Highways Inspector qualifications \n
- Minimum 1 year experience in highway maintenance or construction field. \n
- Good attention to detail and skills which demonstrate thoroughness and accuracy in completing tasks \n
