Farm and Poultry Production Operative - North Kilworth, Near Lutterworth
\nPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for Farm and Poultry Production Operatives to join our well-established client based in North Kilworth, near Lutterworth.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist farming operation producing high-quality free-range poultry on a full-time, ongoing basis.
\nNo previous farming or food production experience is required as full training will be provided. This position would suit applicants looking for a role as an Agricultural Worker, Food Production Operative, or Farm Assistant.
\nThere may also be an opportunity to secure a permanent full-time position after successfully completing the initial 12 weeks, subject to performance, attendance, and business requirements.
\nRates of Pay:

- £13.21 per hour \n
Shift Pattern:
\n- \n
- Monday to Friday \n
- Usually 7:00am to 4:00pm \n
- Start and finish times may occasionally vary depending on farm and production requirements \n
- Flexibility regarding working hours is required \n
Important Transport Requirement:
\n- \n
- The farm is located in a rural area and cannot be reached reliably by public transport \n
- Applicants must have access to their own car or another reliable private vehicle \n
- Applicants must be able to travel to and from the farm independently for a 7:00am start \n
- A valid driving licence is required where applicable \n
- Please do not apply if you are dependent on public transport to reach the workplace \n

Day-to-Day Duties:
\nAs a Farm and Poultry Production Operative, you will work:
\n- \n
- Feeding and caring for poultry \n
- Monitoring animal welfare and reporting any concerns \n
- Maintaining poultry housing, equipment, and outdoor areas \n
- Cleaning sheds, pens, and other farm facilities \n
- Moving feed, bedding, equipment, and supplies \n
- Completing general farm maintenance and manual tasks \n
- Supporting colleagues with the daily operation of the farm \n
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and animal welfare \n
- Cutting and portioning prepared poultry \n
- Trimming and preparing different poultry cuts \n
- Weighing, packing, and labelling products \n
- Preparing customer orders \n
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas \n
- Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures \n
Important Information:

- Workers recruited for this position will not be involved in slaughtering or killing animals \n
- Applicants must be comfortable handling prepared poultry, cutting poultry portions, and working with raw meat during the food production element of the role \n
Essential Skills:
\nTo be successful as a Farm and Poultry Production Operative, you will need:
