My client, based in Carlisle are looking for an Accounts Supervisor to join their finance department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes and taking ownership of key financial operations across both our commercial and manufacturing businesses.

Responsibilities for the Accounts Supervisor will include

You'll lead our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function while supporting the Finance Director with cash management and reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing the AP & AR team.
\n
• Managing invoice processing, supplier payments and customer receipts.
\n
• Overseeing credit control and reducing aged debt.
\n
• Managing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
\n
• Supporting cash flow management and cash forecasting.
\n
• Assisting with month-end accounting, including accruals and prepayments.
\n
• Liaising with banks, suppliers, customers and internal departments.
\n
• Driving process improvements and maintaining strong financial controls.
\n
• Supporting overseas payroll settlements and expense processing.
\n

The Accounts Supervisor will have responsibility for our Accounts Payable Assistant and Credit Control Assistant, helping them develop while ensuring excellent service across the finance function.

The Accounts Supervisor will have

• 3-5 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or transactional finance.
\n
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
\n
• AAT qualified (or equivalent).
\n
• Strong Excel and IT skills.
\n
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Great attention to detail with the confidence to manage your own workload.
\n
