Finance Specialist
Job Description
We are partnering with a global leader in innovative adhesive tape and self-adhesive system solutions, in their search for a Finance Specialist. This is a 3-month temporary role (with potential scope to turn permanent) based in Milton Keynes, offering a hybrid working model (60% in the office, 40% at home) and a day rate of up to £260 per day via umbrella.
\nThe Role
\nReporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring end-to-end finance compliance across assigned European affiliates. Operating within a multi-country scope, you will coordinate statutory, tax, audit, and internal control activities in close collaboration with Shared Service Centers (SSC), external providers, and global internal stakeholders.
\nKey Responsibilities:

- Finance Compliance & Statutory Oversight: Coordinate with external service providers to ensure full finance compliance, accurate financial statements, and adherence to regulations and internal guidelines. \n
- Audit Management: Lead internal and external audits for assigned affiliates-managing planning, coordinating evidence with the SSC and external auditors, tracking findings, and driving remediation actions. \n
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate tax activities with external providers, ensuring timely and accurate submissions across VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), deferred tax, withholding tax, and local statutory obligations. \n
- Internal Controls & SSC Quality: Monitor SSC service delivery quality across STP (Source to Pay) and RTR (Record to Report), while executing Local Risk Assessments and Risk Control Matrixes. \n
- Group Compliance: Act as the first point of contact for Group compliance policies (e.g., Anti-corruption, Antitrust) and track assigned KPIs to drive process improvements. \n
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with regional finance teams (Controlling, Credit Management, Finance Excellence) to ensure seamless compliance execution. \n

- Qualifications: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics (or equivalent). \n
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting, with a focus on compliance, tax, governance, or audit. \n
- Technical & Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes (STP, RTR), internal controls, and tax compliance requirements (VAT, CIT, deferred/withholding tax). \n
- Systems Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of SAP FI. SSC or external provider management experience is highly advantageous. \n
- Audit Experience: Proven track record of leading internal/external audit planning, evidence collection, and follow-ups. \n
- Soft Skills: Self-confident and proactive, with excellent communication and remote stakeholder management skills to influence teams across multiple countries. \n
