Receptionist Administrator (Temporary Assignment)
\nPetersfield Area, HampshireFull Time | Temporary ContractStart Date: No later than 24th August
\nOur client, a highly regarded school in the Petersfield area, is seeking a professional and organised Receptionist Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis.
\nThis opportunity has arisen to provide cover whilst the school undertakes recruitment for a permanent appointment. The successful candidate must be available to start no later than 24th August, allowing sufficient time for induction and training ahead of the new academic year.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced receptionist or administrator who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment and is confident managing a varied workload.
\nThe Role
\nBased on the main reception desk, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff, providing a welcoming and professional service whilst supporting a range of administrative functions across the school.
\nThis is a fast-paced and varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Managing the reception area and welcoming visitors to the school. \n
- Answering telephone calls and handling enquiries professionally. \n
- Maintaining attendance records and pupil information. \n
- Supporting visitor management and safeguarding procedures. \n
- Providing first aid support where required (training can be provided). \n
- Assisting with school trip and event administration. \n
- Updating calendars, schedules and internal systems. \n
- Processing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries. \n
- Maintaining accurate records, databases and filing systems. \n
- Supporting senior leaders with administrative tasks. \n
- General office administration including scanning, photocopying, ordering supplies and data entry. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Previous experience within a receptionist, front-of-house, administration or customer service role. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Friendly, professional and approachable manner. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Comfortable working within a busy environment. \n
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. \n
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365. \n
- Flexible, proactive and willing to support colleagues when required. \n
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to the location. \n
Desirable Experience
\n- \n
- Previous experience within an education setting. \n
- First Aid qualification. \n
- Experience using school management or CRM systems. \n
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate. \n
Assignment Details
\n- \n
- Full-time position. \n
- Monday to Friday. \n
- 40 hours per week - 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. \n
- Temporary assignment with an immediate requirement. \n
- Must be available to start no later than 24th August. \n
