Senior Audit Manager | Shape the Future of a Growing Practice

Reed
Haverhill, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

Ready to take the next step in your audit career? Are you an experienced Audit Manager seeking a progressive and supportive firm where your expertise will be recognised and rewarded? Or perhaps you're already operating at Senior Manager level and looking for a forward-thinking independent practice where you can make a real impact?

\n

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

\n

Reed Practice is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded independent firm to recruit an exceptional Senior Audit Manager. This is a prestigious leadership opportunity within a growing, innovative practice that prides itself on its people-first culture, modern approach, and commitment to continuous improvement.

\n

Unlike larger firms where you can feel like just another number, this organisation offers the perfect balance of scale and opportunity. Large enough to provide genuine career progression, yet small enough for your contribution to be recognised and valued.

\n

As Senior Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the firm, overseeing a team of Audit Managers and their respective teams while managing a substantial and varied client portfolio.

\n

Working with predominantly privately-owned businesses with turnovers of up to £50m, you will be a trusted adviser to clients and an influential member of the leadership team. Key Responsibilities include:

\n
    \n
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Audit Managers and staff
  • \n
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients
  • \n
  • Planning, allocating and reviewing audit assignments
  • \n
  • Ensuring all audit work is delivered on time and within budget
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • \n
  • Providing technical guidance and support across the audit team
  • \n
  • Supporting clients with specialist projects and advisory work
  • \n
  • Advising business owners on accounting, corporation tax and personal tax matters
  • \n
  • Contributing to the strategic growth and development of the firm
  • \n
\n

We are keen to speak with established audit professionals who can demonstrate:

\n
    \n
  • Strong audit experience gained within practice
  • \n
  • Solid accounting and tax knowledge
  • \n
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • \n
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • \n
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
  • \n
  • ACA, ACCA qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
  • \n
\n

Whether you are an experienced Audit Manager ready to step up or an existing Senior Manager seeking a fresh challenge, this firm is open to considering talented individuals with the right experience and ambition.

\n

What's on Offer?

\n
    \n
  • Competitive salary tailored to your experience and calibre
  • \n
  • Flexible working arrangements around core hours
  • \n
  • Hybrid working policy
  • \n
  • Prestigious senior leadership position
  • \n
  • Clear opportunities for progression
  • \n
  • Supportive and collaborative culture
  • \n
  • Exposure to a varied and interesting client base
  • \n
  • Opportunity to influence the future direction of the firm
  • \n
\n

If you're looking to join a firm that genuinely values its people, embraces innovation, and offers long-term career opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
