Claims Administrator
Job Description
Job Title: Claims Administrator
\nLocation:, Bridgend
\nSalary: £27,000+, negotiable depending on experience
\nBenefits: Flexible Working Options, Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme
\n\nAbout the Company:
\nA growing independent insurance brokerage with an established presence across South and West Wales is expanding its claims team due to increasing client demand.
\nThe business provides a personal and relationship-led service, supporting clients throughout the claims process rather than directing them towards an impersonal centralised function. You will join an established team containing highly experienced claims professionals who can provide technical guidance and support.
\n\nRole Summary:
\nYou will support clients throughout the claims process by reporting new claims, gathering information, chasing progress and liaising with insurers and relevant third parties. You will help ensure records remain accurate and clients receive regular updates while their claim is ongoing.
\nYou will join an experienced claims team, meaning more complex cases can be escalated to senior colleagues when required. Claims experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as training and funded CII development are available. Full-time availability is strongly preferred, although a four-day arrangement may be considered.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:
\n• Claims Notification: Report new claims accurately and promptly, helping clients begin the process with clear guidance and support.
\n• Progress Monitoring: Contact insurers, loss adjusters and third parties for updates, giving you exposure to the full claims lifecycle.
\n• Client Communication: Keep clients informed and request outstanding information, allowing you to build trusted relationships during challenging situations.
\n• Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate communication between clients, insurers and other parties, developing strong relationship-management skills.
\n• Claims Administration: Maintain accurate records, evidence and correspondence, supporting an efficient and compliant claims process.
\n• Technical Escalation: Identify cases requiring senior input and work alongside experienced claims professionals on more complex matters.
\n\nRequirements:
\n• Strong administration and workload-management skills
\n• Clear and empathetic telephone and email communication
\n• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow structured processes
\n• A calm and persistent approach when chasing information
\n• Claims, insurance or financial services experience would be advantageous
\n• Cert CII or an interest in completing a relevant qualification with employer support
\n\nIf this role isn’t quite right, it’s still worth speaking to one of our specialist team — we may be working on something that hasn’t hit the market yet.
