An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a highly respected independent planning consultancy with a strong reputation across the UK property sector. Based in Leeds, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing projects, advising clients, and supporting the continued growth of the planning team.

The Role You will be responsible for leading and delivering a variety of planning projects from inception through to completion, providing strategic planning advice to an established client base while working closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a broad portfolio of planning applications and appeals
\n
• Preparing planning appraisals, statements, and supporting documentation
\n
• Advising clients on planning strategy and development opportunities
\n
• Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
\n
• Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development activities
\n
• Attending client meetings, committee meetings, and public consultations where required
\n

About You The ideal candidate will have:

• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
\n
• Experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
\n
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Commercial awareness and client-facing experience
\n
• The ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively within a team
\n
