Trainee Transport & Warehouse Operator

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Trainee Transport & Warehouse Operator for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Feltham, Middlesex area.

Job Description:-

Warehouse operative to handle Air Export and Import freight into our transit warehouse

5 Years UK checks required for aviation security purposes - Basic DBS check

Fork lift duties (training will be provided)

Air Exports cargo labelling

Warehouse operative Awareness training

Handling Air imports cargo, basic ERTS knowledge required to receive and release bonded controlled cargo

Transport Training:-

• Organisation & planning for transport requirements using leased vehicle and subcontractors.
\n
• The passing of purchase invoices reserving and raising sales invoices in accordance with the company’s quality system.
\n
• Production, checking and resolving of weekly job transaction reports
\n
• Cargo Security; Must ensure the most current procedures are understood and correctly followed and administered and that the appropriate documentation is completed correctly.
\n
• Ensure cost effectiveness in respect of leased vehicles and subcontracted cartage
\n
• Assisting in the Warehouse as when required
\n

Working on a Monday to Friday basis (37.5 hour working week). Some overtime available on Sundays.
