Our client, a leading and expanding manufacturing organisation, established for over 30 years in Tamworth, is seeking an Operational Support Team Leader to join their well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a process-driven, analytical, and solution-focused individual who thrives on improving operational efficiency, leading teams, and driving continuous improvement across business processes.Salary is between £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience. Hours of work are 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Please note this is an office-based position.Benefits include: 31 days holiday including Bank Holidays, Paycare Healthcare Cash Plan (including discounts and 24-hour GP access), Life Assurance x2, and the option to purchase up to 5 additional days' unpaid holiday through salary sacrifice.This role requires someone who enjoys analysing data, improving workflows, and ensuring operational targets and service standards are consistently achieved.Your duties will include:Lead, motivate and develop the Operational Support team, ensuring departmental objectives and KPIs are achievedOversee daily operational activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescalesMonitor team performance, providing coaching, feedback and regular one-to-one supportConduct performance reviews and identify training and development opportunitiesAnalyse operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvementInvestigate operational issues, identify root causes and implement effective, long-term solutionsReview and improve processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and productivityProduce reports to support business decision-making and operational planningWork collaboratively with internal departments to resolve operational challenges and improve cross-functional processesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures and quality standardsSupport recruitment, onboarding and training of new team membersPromote a positive, collaborative and high-performing team cultureSupport people management activities, including investigations where requiredProvide cover for other Team Leaders to ensure continuity across the departmentTo be successful as the Operational Support Team Leader, you will have:Experience leading or supervising a teamA process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvementStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisionsExcellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-focused approachExperience producing reports and using data to drive operational improvementsStrong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA confident and supportive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop othersGood knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelA calm, resilient and adaptable approach when working under pressureUnderstanding of HR policies and people management processes would be advantageousTPBN1_UKTJ
