They are seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead the delivery of one of Europe's largest and most ambitious digital infrastructure programmesa landmark £10bnhyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England.This flagship development will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the most significant construction projects currently underway in Europe. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the safe, commercial and operational delivery of a major phase of the programme, leading large multidisciplinary teams across construction, engineering and commercial functions.Working closely with executive leadership, the client, consultants and key stakeholders, you will drive programme performance, ensure world-class project execution and oversee the successful delivery of multiple concurrent data centre facilities from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership for the successful delivery of a major hyperscale data centre projectLead multidisciplinary project teams across construction, commercial, engineering and planning functionsDevelop and implement project delivery strategies to achieve programme, quality and commercial objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholdersDrive programme performance and implement recovery strategies where requiredEnsure the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance across all site activitiesOversee project budgets, forecasting, risk management and commercial performanceLead project governance, reporting and executive-level progress reviewsManage complex technical interfaces across CSA, MEP, commissioning and client equipment installationSupport procurement strategies and subcontractor performance managementProvide leadership through commissioning, practical completion and final project handoverMentor and develop senior project management teams while fostering a high-performance cultureRequirementsProven experience as a Project Director , Project Executive or Senior Project Manager delivering major construction projectsStrong background leading hyperscale data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other large-scale industrial developmentsExperience delivering projects valued in excess of £500mDemonstrable success managing large multidisciplinary teams within complex live project environmentsExcellent commercial awareness with strong experience managing NEC, JCT or equivalent construction contractsStrong understanding of CSA, MEP and commissioning interfacesExceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skillsDegree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering or a related disciplineAbility to lead high-performing teams within fast-paced, technically demanding environmentsPackageHighly competitive executive salary + comprehensive packageExecutive bonus scheme / Car allowance / Private healthcare / Enhanced pension / Life assuranceRelocation or rotational support (where applicable)Long-term career opportunity on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developmentsOpportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a landmark £10bn, 10-year digital infrastructure programmeThis is a rare opportunity to lead one of the UK's most significant construction projects and help shape the future of Europe's digital infrastructure.
