Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description One Way are working with a well-established and growing specialist contractor within the landscaping and external works sector, who are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects.This is a great opportunity to join a business delivering both soft and hard landscaping schemes across a range of commercial, public sector and private developments, with a strong emphasis on quality, delivery and long-term client relationships.Senior Quantity Surveyor Role: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from tender stage through to final account, working closely with operational teams, project managers and clients to ensure successful financial and contractual delivery.You will play a key role in supporting both pre-construction and live project delivery activities, ensuring strong cost control, accurate forecasting and effective contract administration across multiple schemes.Senior Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities: Commercial management of landscaping and external works projects from tender through to final accountReviewing contract documentation and supporting pre-construction activitiesSubcontract procurement, negotiation and appointmentMonthly cost reporting, cost-to-complete forecasting and financial reviewsPreparation and submission of Applications for Payment (AfP)Management of variations, change control and client instructionsSupport with programme input and project delivery planningCashflow forecasting and ongoing cost managementAgreement of final accounts and retention releaseLiaising with operational teams, clients, designers and subcontractors throughout deliverySenior Quantity Surveyor Candidate Criteria:The successful candidate will be commercially strong, highly organised and confident working across multiple live projects in a fast-paced environment.You will ideally have:Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related disciplineMinimum 5 years Quantity Surveying experienceBackground in landscaping, external works or civil engineering environmentsStrong understanding of both hard and soft landscaping packagesExperience in subcontract procurement and tender analysisGood knowledge of cost reporting, forecasting and cashflow managementStrong communication and negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail and commercial awarenessProficient with Microsoft Office and relevant commercial systemsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sitesWhy Apply?
