Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company to recruit a Shift Operations Technician for their Energy from Waste Power Station near Bicester, OxfordshireThe Shift Operations Technician role comes with starting salary of £43,871 + £6,594 shift allowance + location living allowance of £2,654 + up to 10% bonus + overtime + private medical + benefits.If you have experience operating heavy process plant via a DCS/SCADA system and are looking to work for a company who invest in professional development of their employees, then submit your CV to apply today. your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and duties of the Shift Operations Technician roleReporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for:Using a DCS system, you will be required to start, stop and monitor the steam turbine, steam boilers, pumps, water treatment plant and moreEnsuring the plant is operating within its parameters whilst complying with strict HSE rules and regulations as well as company policies and proceduresPerforming plant walk round and daily checks to ensure equipment is operating correctly and efficientlyMonitoring of continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) and perform corrective adjustments to the process when requiredProviding technical supervision and assistance where necessary for company and contract staffWorking within the company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality SystemsProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:A relevant technical qualification such as an HNC/ONC/NVQ in an engineering discipline is desirableHaving authorised person / senior authorised person qualifications will be advantageousA health and safety qualification such as IOSH will be advantageousPersonal Skills, Prior Experience and KnowledgeThe Shift Operations Technician role would suit someone who has:Experience working in a heavy process engineering environment such as power generation, paper mills, COMAH sites, steel works, cement, pharmaceutical, etc.Experience in operating a DCS/SCADA systemFamiliar with safety rules proceduresEx forces engineer will be highly encouraged to apply whether this be Navy, RAF or ArmySalary and benefits of the Shift Operations Technician roleA basic salary of £43,871£6,594 shift allowance£2,654.04 location allowanceOvertimeUp to 10% BonusPrivate medicalOther company benefits#LI-AP1INDPOWAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
