Registered Children's Home Manager (Level 5 Qualified)Location: Ipswich, SuffolkSalary: £45,000- £55,000 (dependent on experience) + Bonus SchemeContract: Full Time | PermanentEleven Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Children's Home ManagerEleven Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a residential children's service in Ipswich.This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient leader to oversee a therapeutic children's home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), trauma-related presentations and complex behaviours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people.The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational leadership and management of the children's home, ensuring the service delivers safe, nurturing and high-quality care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.Key responsibilities include:Providing effective leadership and direction to the residential care teamCreating a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving meaningful outcomesEnsuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding proceduresSupporting young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, wellbeing, independence and personal developmentManaging staffing structures, rotas, supervision and performance management processesOverseeing budgets and ensuring effective operational managementDeveloping positive relationships with local authorities, families and multidisciplinary professionalsLeading quality assurance initiatives and continuous service improvementManaging and preparing for Ofsted inspectionsCandidate RequirementsEssential:Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification)Previous experience within residential children's services at management or senior levelStrong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality StandardsExperience leading and developing teams within residential settingsExcellent safeguarding knowledge and practiceStrong communication, leadership and organisational skillsFull UK driving licenceDesirable:Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered ManagerExperience supporting children with ASC, SEMH needs, trauma or complex behavioural presentationsUnderstanding of therapeutic and relationship-based care modelsExperience working within specialist or therapeutic residential environmentsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary packageOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesCareer progression within a growing organisationSupportive senior leadership structurePension and additional employee benefitsSafeguarding StatementEleven Recruitment and our client are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
