What Youll Be Doing As Lead Lawyer, youll combine technical excellence with people leadership and client development , making a real impact across the firm. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading, motivating and developing a team of complex injury lawyers (2 direct reports initially, with scope to grow)Managing a caseload of complex injury claims, primarily RTA with some EL/PL exposureHandling large loss cases (250thousand 1M+), supported by a Technical DirectorAdvising clients on indemnity, liability, quantum and claims strategyBuilding and strengthening relationships with key insurance clients and senior claims handlersDeveloping your profile and supporting business development and client growthDelivering training internally and to clientsAttending court hearings, trials and settlement conferencesDriving team performance through objective setting, regular reviews, and development plansSupporting recruitment and team expansion as the function growsEnsuring compliance with SRA regulations and firm processesWhat we're looking for Technical Expertise: Qualified Solicitor with strong Defendant RTA experienceProven track record handling high-value complex injury claimsExperience managing cases 250thousand 1M+Confident in advocacyLeadership Capability: Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop a teamStrong communicator, able to deliver feedback and support performance effectivelyPassionate about people development, wellbeing and engagementSkilled at delegation and workload managementCore Skills: Confident, proactive and drivenExcellent communication and client relationship skillsStrong analytical and decision-making abilitiesCommercially aware with business development acumenHighly organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlinesWhy Join Keoghs?
