At the Heart of England Co-operative Funerals we are a small, independent, regional business operating through 14 funeral homes in Coventry, Warwickshire, South Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire serving our client families to the very highest standards with our committed team of experienced professionals.We are looking for a Funeral Service Operative who will provide an exceptional level of care when bringing the deceased into our care and whilst out on the day of the funeral. These colleagues need to have superb driving skills to transport our client families in comfort and safety in our ceremonial Hearses and Limousines. The role will require you to work effectively as part of a team, as well as being able to work on your own initiative and sometimes under pressure. We need a person who is caring as well as empathetic to the needs of our clients and our colleagues. Attention to detail is a prerequisite.This role is based at our care centre in Rugby and we would prefer our applicants to be within a 5 mile radius. Working a core of 39 hours per week between our locations, there will also be additional hours working evening and weekends when participating in our 'On call' rota outside of normal office hours. The successful candidate will ideally have some experience in the Funeral Industry however this is not a requirement as full training will be provided once in post.You will be responsible for: Being an ambassador for the business at all timesDignified and respectful care of the deceasedBringing the deceased into our careDriving and bearing on funerals, to exacting standardsDelivering the highest standards of client careCore skills requirements: Being committed to delivering excellent client service to the highest standardsExcellent communication skillsWell presented with a professional demeanourA full UK driving licenceA minimum of 5 year's driving experiencePhysically fit and able to participate in bearing dutiesA flexible and dependable approach to workBasic IT skills in relation to computer systemsIf you're successful in your application, we'll perform some background checks as part of our pre-employment screening process.
