Quality Control Manager NMB Minebea UK (Lincoln)Are you an experienced Quality professional with strong leadership skills, ready to lead a full Quality Control function and drive world-class standards, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance in a precision engineering environment?Our exclusive client NMB Minebea UK, part of a global manufacturing group with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, is renowned for precision engineering and the production of mission-critical components.This Quality Control Manager role is based in Lincoln. You will lead the Quality Control department (30+ engineers and inspectors), ensuring high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement while embedding a culture of world-class manufacturing and aerospace regulatory compliance across the site.As the Quality Control Manager, your responsibilities will include:Demonstrating strong leadership to organise the Quality Control function, set clear expectations, and ensure every area understands its role in quality assurance, quality control, and compliance deliverablesPerforming training gap analysis across all quality functions and establishing clear strategies to upskill the teamMaintaining a hands-on, visible presence on the shop floor and across the businessEnsuring full company compliance with aerospace QMS procedures (ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, etc.)Supporting inspectors in driving best-practice inspection methodsLeading root-cause analysis investigations using proven problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 5 WhyEnsuring compliance with First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102Overseeing company-wide environmental compliance procedures to ISO 14001Driving reduction of non-conformances, timely resolution of manufacturing/production issues, and effective continuous improvement through regular reporting on NCRs, KPIs, customer issues, shop-floor deviations/concessions, and supplier performanceAs the Quality Control Manager you will bring:EssentialApprenticeship, HNC/D (or equivalent) in an engineering disciplineStrong leadership capability with a proven track record of improving team performanceBackground in quality assurance and quality control within a highly regulated environmentAbility to lead a large quality functionDemonstrable experience resolving manufacturing issues using 8D, 5 Why, and similar methodologiesHands-on approach to leadership with a willingness to be visible across all areasVery strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)Inspection and metrology experienceCompetent in all Microsoft packages with strong overall IT skillsDesirableDegree in an engineering disciplineAerospace manufacturing environment experienceExperience with aerospace standards such as AS9100, AS9102, NADCAP, etc.Knowledge of aerospace regulatory compliance (CAA, EASA, FAA)Knowledge of machining processes and non-destructive testing (NDT) proceduresHours of work Day Shift Monday to Thursday 07:3016:00 Friday 07:3012:30Benefits25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension 5% employer contributionSubsidised health carePersonal accident planUniformBike to Work schemeSubsidised canteenOn-site parkingLong service awardEmployee referral schemeDeath in service schemeThis Quality Control Manager position offers the opportunity to take the next step in your career, leading a substantial QC team in a stable, well-established manufacturing site that values technical excellence, process discipline, and people leadership.
