Software & Commissioning EngineerLocation: LeicestershireSalary: £55,000 - £75,000 + BenefitsFull-Time | OnsiteAre you the type of engineer who enjoys seeing a machine you've programmed come to life on the shop floor?We're recruiting for a highly experienced Software & Commissioning Engineer to join a growing automation business that designs and builds complex bespoke machinery for leading manufacturers.This is not a maintenance role.This is an opportunity to be involved in the development, programming, commissioning and optimisation of cutting-edge automated systems and robotics projects from concept through to customer handover.What you'll be doing:Developing PLC software and HMIs for bespoke automation systems.Commissioning special purpose machinery and driving machine performance improvements.Programming and integrating industrial robots including 6-axis, SCARA and Delta robots.Performing FATs, SATs, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on advanced automation systems.Working directly with customers during installation, commissioning and operator training.We'd love to speak with engineers who have:Strong PLC programming experience (Omron, Siemens or Allen-Bradley).A background in special purpose machinery, robotics or automated manufacturing equipment.Commissioning experience in a customer-facing environment.The ability to fault-find electrical, controls and safety systems.Experience integrating industrial robots into production environments.Why this role stands out:Technically challenging projectsSignificant robotics and automation exposureWork on complete machine build projects, not just one stage of the processJoin a business with a strong order book and continued growth plans.£55,000 - £75,000 salary depending on experienceTPBN1_UKTJ
