Production Planner

A leading FMCG business based in the Oldham area are looking for a Production Planner to join their team. As Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining production plans that balance customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets. Working closely with manufacturing, procurement, and customer teams, you will play a critical role in delivering OTIF performance and driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain short- and medium-term production plans aligned to demand forecastsEnsure optimal utilisation of production capacity while minimising downtime and changeoversManage stock levels of finished goods and WIP to meet service and working capital targetsLiaise with procurement to ensure raw materials availability in line with production schedulesMonitor and adjust plans in response to demand changes, supply issues, or operational constraintsTrack key KPIs including OTIF, schedule adherence, and inventory levelsCollaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teamsIdentify and implement process improvements across planning and schedulingAbout the person:Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply planning within an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and planning processesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsProficient in Excel and data analysisTo apply for the role please send your CV toRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidatesTPBN1_UKTJ
