Management AccountantNorth Bristol, 12 month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity cover)Hybrid working (minimum 1 day per week from home, with flexibility for 2 days)£45,000 - £55,000An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role offers exposure to operational finance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and would suit an accomplished management accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, analysing performance, and driving continuous improvement. Applications are welcome from both qualified and qualified-by-experience candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce monthly management accounts and support month and year-end close processesAnalyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunitiesProvide detailed cost and variance analysis, investigating root causes and supporting corrective actionsPartner with site leadership to improve financial and operational performanceSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesMaintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies and proceduresAssist with audit requirements and reporting obligationsDeliver accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-makingContribute to process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance functionAbout YouPrevious experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance roleManufacturing experience is essentialStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insightsExperience of working with ERP systemsComfortable working independently while building strong relationships across the businessExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will all be consideredWe are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
