As a Mental Health Transport Assistant , you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises, ensuring they are transported safely, compassionately, and with dignity.No previous experience is required as full training is provided. We're looking for caring, resilient individuals with excellent communication skills who can remain calm under pressure and are passionate about delivering person-centred care.This role involves much more than driving. Working as part of a professional crew, you'll support patients detained under the Mental Health Act during hospital transfers, court or prison escorts, community assessments, Section 135 house extractions alongside police and mental health professionals, bed watch services, and supervision within psychiatric suites. You'll help reduce anxiety, use de-escalation techniques, and provide reassurance throughout each journey.Founded in 2012, Secure Care UK is the UK's only Secure Patient Transport provider accredited to Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) Standards .
