About the RoleMy client is leading fabrication engineering business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Reporting to the Production Manager, my client seeks a Quality Control Inspector to work as a key part of the Inspection Team, with overall responsibility for ensuring product quality conformity to customer and legislative standards.Main ResponsibilitiesInspection of fabricated & welded components - Dimensionally, Visual & NDT to ensure the correct qualityLiaise with engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirementsLiaise with goods inward for the inspection of raw materials, components and associated certificationSupport the production team with in-process inspection and testing of components for manufactureMaintain product traceability and compliance to required standardsQuarantine and identify non-conforming parts to ensure all product non-conformances are accurately reportedSupport problem-solving activities and investigations where product or process non-conformance has been identifiedContribute to quality led improvement initiatives and support quality performanceAbout YouTo be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess CSWIP3.1 and PCN Level 2 MPI certification. You will be an experienced Quality Inspector, with experience gained in a fabrication & welding based engineering environment.Other Selection CriteriaRelevant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environmentProficient in reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsPCN Level 2 Dye Pen (desired)Competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, and squaresGood written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and focus on quality at all timesSelf-motivated and confident when taking responsibility for all areas of workVisible Quality Control valuesFlexibility to work shifts and overtime as required to support business needsDrive for improvement - Actively participate in continuous improvement discussions & willing to share best practiceTPBN1_UKTJ
