Ajax Equipment is looking for an experienced Design Project Engineer to lead the successful delivery of solids handling and process equipment projects, from initial concept and detailed design to manufacture.This is a hands-on role combining mechanical design, engineering calculations, project management, and customer liaison . You'll take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and commercial success while working closely with customers, suppliers, and our internal manufacturing team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead projects from order through to completionDevelop and draw concepts, layouts, GA drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawingsPerform engineering calculations and technical assessmentsAct as the primary technical contact for customers and suppliersCoordinate project activities across design, manufacturing, procurement, and installationEnsure designs comply with relevant standards including ATEX, PED, and Machinery DirectiveSupport and mentor junior engineers where appropriateAbout You5+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or machine designAwareness of solids handling, bulk materials, or process equipmentProficient in 2D and 3D CADExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsComfortable managing multiple engineering projects simultaneouslyOpen mind and willing to learnJoin a well-established business delivering innovative process equipment solutions worldwide.
