People Solutions are currently recruiting for a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter (CSCS) to join our well-established client. This role is advertised in Bristol, however the company's head office is based in Tewkesbury and only needs to be attended once or twice per week, meaning you do not need to live locally, simply be able to commute when required. The remainder of the role involves travelling to customer sites across the UK, with occasional opportunities to work overseas.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a General Labourer, CSCS Labourer, Retail Shop Fitter, Shop Fitter, Retail Fitter, Installer, POS Installer, Display Installer, Site Operative, Installation Operative or Construction Labourer.

Shifts

 • Various Day & Night shifts | Monday to Sunday
\n  • Guaranteed minimum 39 hours per week
\n  • Nights away and weekend working required as part of the role

Rates of Pay

 • £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
\n  • Night shift bonus
\n  • Overtime after 12 weeks
\n  • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter, your duties will include:

 • Installing retail interiors, fixtures and equipment at customer sites
\n  • Working from technical drawings, plans and site layouts
\n  • Completing installations independently and as part of a fitting team
\n  • Loading, unloading and transporting equipment safely
\n  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
\n  • Completing installation paperwork accurately
\n  • Travelling throughout the UK with occasional overseas work
\n  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety on every site

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Valid Green CSCS Card
\n  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum nine penalty points)
\n  • Previous experience as a Labourer, Installer, Shop Fitter or similar role
\n  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
\n  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow installation plans
\n  • Experience using hand and power tools
\n  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
\n  • Ability to work independently and within a team
\n  • Valid Passport and willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas

Desirable Experience

 • Previous Retail Shop Fitting experience
\n  • POS or Display Installation experience
\n  • Experience working on nationwide installation projects

 • Full company induction
\n  • Ongoing training and support throughout your assignment
