Are you passionate about safeguarding vulnerable children?

A well-established and highly regarded Greater Manchester law firm is seeking a Childcare Solicitor to join its growing childcare team. Known for its excellent reputation in childcare and family law, the firm offers a supportive and collaborative working environment.

\n You will join a friendly team of five specialist care lawyers, supported by experienced secretarial and paralegal staff. This role may also suit candidates seeking part-time working arrangements.

The Role

You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, primarily involving:

\n
• Care proceedings
\n
• PLO (Public Law Outline) pre-proceedings work
\n
• Representing clients in childcare matters
\n
• Drafting legal documents and case preparation
\n
• Advocacy where appropriate
\n

You will also work closely with colleagues within the childcare team to deliver high-quality legal services to vulnerable children and families.

Requirements
You will have:

\n
• 2+ years’ PQE (guideline only – applications from all experience levels are welcome)
\n
• Qualification as a Solicitor
\n
• Strong communication, analytical and drafting skills
\n
• The ability to manage a full caseload independently
\n
• A willingness to undertake advocacy where appropriate
\n
• Children Panel membership (or working towards it) is desirable
\n
