\n\nSellick Partnership are delighted to be working with a not-for-profit organisation in Yorkshire who are seeking a conveyancing and property Legal Executive or Legal Officer to join their small, friendly in-house legal team.
\nOur client is seeking someone with a legal background and prior conveyancing and property experience, who can proactively handle and progress residential sales through to completion, working to drive efficiencies in processes.
\nA legal executive (FILEx/CILEx) or equivalent qualification is preferred for this role, however candidates without such qualifications will also be considered as long as you have sufficient relevant experience for the role.

\n\nThe successful Legal Executive or Legal Officer will:

- Assist the Solicitor in the delivery of legal services relating conveyancing, property transactions and tenancy law, including: shared ownership, open market sales, shared equity, right to buy/ acquire. \n
- Advised on sales contracts and preparing legal documentation. \n
- Prepare of site-specific estate documentation. \n
- Liaise with external solicitors, local authorities and Land Registry to ensure timely and compliant sales transactions. \n
- Handle resale of leasehold properties as well as handling staircasing transactions. \n
- Handle applications for consent to assignment and/or subletting. \n
- Support preparation of legal packs to support auction sales. \n
Office attendance is required 2 days a week but this is flexible around business needs.
