Location: Batley, West Yorkshire Job Type: Temporary Supply Role Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Ongoing, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate Salary: Teacher payscales - £174-240 per day

Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive infant school in the Batley area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher for a long-term supply position commencing in September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing Early Years team within a well-resourced school that places children's learning, wellbeing, and development at the heart of everything they do. The role is initially temporary on an ongoing basis, with the potential to become a permanent appointment for the right teacher.

The Role

As the Reception Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
\n
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
\n
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively.
\n
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
\n
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and support children's social, emotional, and academic development.
\n

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

\n
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
\n
• Have experience teaching within EYFS, ideally Reception.
\n
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a nurturing approach.
\n
• Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
\n
• Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
\n
• Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to quickly build positive relationships within the school community.
\n
