Electrical LecturerLocation: NorthamptonshireSalary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (occasional evenings and weekends required)Contract: Permanent Closing date: 15th August 2026. An established education and training provider is seeking an experienced Electrical Lecturer to deliver engaging, industry-focused teaching to learners across a range of electrical installation programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to move into education, or for an existing lecturer wanting to join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation. The successful candidate will help develop the next generation of skilled professionals by delivering high-quality teaching, assessing learner progress, and supporting students throughout their learning journey.Key Responsibilities:\n

- Deliver classroom, workshop and practical electrical training to full-time, part-time and adult learners. \n
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements. \n
- Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress towards qualifications. \n
- Act as a personal tutor, supporting learner attendance, wellbeing and academic achievement. \n
- Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation and course administration. \n
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of electrical programmes to meet current industry standards. \n
- Support learner recruitment through open events, employer engagement and promotional activities. \n
- Participate in quality assurance activities including internal verification, standardisation and course reviews. \n
- Ensure workshop facilities, equipment and learning resources are maintained to a high standard. \n
- Promote a safe learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. \n
- Champion safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learner support. \n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience. \n
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required. \n

- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or a related discipline. \n
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. \n
- Recent industry experience within the electrical or construction sector. \n
- Strong communication and presentation skills. \n
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners with varying abilities. \n
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively. \n
- Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive learning. \n
- Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification if not already held. \n

- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent). \n
- Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification. \n
- Experience teaching within Further or Higher Education. \n
- Evidence of continuous professional development. \n
- Experience designing or developing vocational curriculum. \n
