Interim financial Accountant

Your new company
\n A growing and well-established insurance business is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to support the CFO across financial reporting, controls and day-to-day finance operations. This is a broad role within a fast-paced environment, offering exposure across financial accounting, finance operations and ongoing finance systems improvements.
Your new role

\n
• Ownership of month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Preparation of management accounts and support with year-end audit requirements.
\n
• Management of insurer reconciliations, commission accounting and financial controls.
\n
• Supporting banking activities, supplier payments, payroll processes and wider finance operations.
\n
• Assisting with FCA reporting and group consolidation activities.
\n
• Supporting ongoing finance systems enhancements, data transfers and process improvements.
\n
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to improve reporting processes and operational efficiency
  
  What you'll need to succeed
\n
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or an experienced finalist accountant.
\n
• Strong Financial Accountant, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant background.
\n
• Proven month-end ownership and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
\n
• Experience supporting audits and preparing management accounts.
\n
• Comfortable operating within a hands-on finance environment covering both reporting and finance operations.
\n
• NetSuite experience highly desirable.
\n
• Insurance experience beneficial but not essential.
