Job Title: Customer Service OfficerType: Temporary ContractLocation: BristolSalary: £30,015 per annum equivalentHours: Full Time (4 days office, 1 day working from home) BRC are working closely with a leading housing organisation to recruit a Customer Service Officer on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to join a busy housing team as the first point of contact for residents. You will deliver a high-quality, end-to-end customer service, handling a wide range of housing-related enquiries and working closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive timely and effective resolutions. The role follows a hybrid working pattern of four days in the office and one day working from home.Duties:\n

- Act as the first point of contact for customers via telephone, email, social media, web enquiries and face-to-face. \n
- Deliver a one-stop customer service, resolving enquiries wherever possible. \n
- Handle a variety of housing-related enquiries, including repairs, tenancy, rent and estate management. \n
- Raise and diagnose repair requests, ensuring the correct priority and instructions are issued. \n
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to resolve customer queries efficiently. \n
- Handle challenging and sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism. \n
- Escalate safeguarding concerns where appropriate. \n
- Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems. \n
- Work towards individual and team performance targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. \n

- Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Strong administration and IT skills. \n
- Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce experience highly desirable. \n
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations. \n
- Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information. \n
- Social housing experience is desirable but not essential. \n
