We are seeking a dedicated Sales Order Coordinator to join our team, primarily responsible for effective sales coordination and business administration duties. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our branch, involving customer order processing, stock purchasing, and liaising across departments to enhance service delivery and business growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders and enquiries accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • \n
  • Purchase necessary stock items from internal and external suppliers in line with company guidelines.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with other branches and departments for stock transfers, credit control, and product availability.
  • \n
  • Provide exceptional customer service, keeping customers informed about delivery schedules, shortages, and order completions.
  • \n
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager and Regional Business Development Manager to maximize sales opportunities and develop business within the region.
  • \n
  • Handle cash and credit card payments for trade counter sales, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and administrative duties including filing, dispatching, and updating logs.
  • \n
  • Participate in stock takes and ensure adherence to the company’s health and safety policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • \n
  • Experience in sales order processing and administration within a commercial environment.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • \n
  • Good commercial awareness with a knack for identifying and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning and using business management software.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • \n
