Children’s Social Work, Independent Review Officer, East Midlands Pay rate £42 per hour Contract role, IRO Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker in Nottingham. This role is to work as an Independent Reviewing Officer, and you will need to have experience of this part of the Service. Key Responsibilities\n

- Chair a range of statutory meetings for Children in Care and Children with Disabilities in line with legislative requirements, policies and procedures. \n
- \n
- Work within the Independent Reviewing Officer Handbook 2010 and any subsequent legislation relating to the IRO role. \n
- \n
- Ensure accurate recording and completion of all meeting documentation in accordance with statutory requirements, practice standards and departmental procedures. \n
- \n
- Manage and contribute towards the achievement of local and national performance indicators, targets and standards. \n
- \n
- Provide independent scrutiny of children's Care Plans, challenging areas requiring improvement and progressing problem resolution processes where necessary. \n
- \n
- Undertake regular audits in line with Nottingham City policies and procedures. \n
- \n
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and development activities. \n
- \n
- Participate in supervision, annual appraisal processes and continuous professional development. \n
- \n
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies and council departments, promoting a multi-agency problem-solving approach. \n
- \n
