Transport for Greater Manchester are seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director by working alongside the senior executive assistant. This role is crucial for ensuring effective coordination of day-to-day activities, including comprehensive diary management, meeting planning, preparation of papers and briefings, and providing high-quality administrative support. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling the Managing Director to operate effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and coordinate the Managing Director's diary and schedule to ensure optimal organisation.
  • \n
  • Plan and prepare for meetings, including the preparation of necessary documents and briefings.
  • \n
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • \n
  • Work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation and partner organisations.
  • \n
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • \n
  • Support, guide, and develop junior staff within the team.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    \n
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Senior Personal Assistant, ideally supporting Managing Director, Executive, or Board-level leaders.
  • \n
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage complex diaries, meetings, and competing priorities effectively.
  • \n
  • Proactive and confident in working independently; able to anticipate requirements and plan forward effectively.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building positive working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Line management experience is desirable, with skills in supporting, guiding, and developing others.
