HR Advisor – Permanent
\nHybrid Christchurch Base
\nBi-weekly travel ravel to our regional offices in Sheffield and Widnes/Christchurch
\nDovetail Recruitment are proud to be working with a long standing client who are looking for a HR Advisor to join their team of 7. The business has been growing over the last 10 years that we have worked with them, and people are at the heart of their business.
\nPeople are at the heart of this growing business, and as HR Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. With a broad HR generalist remit covering employee relations, absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases, recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, compliance and HR projects, this role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nEmployee Relations & Performance Management
\n- \n
- Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and absence cases, with support from the People Team. \n
- Provide day-to-day guidance to managers on performance management and support performance improvement plans. \n
- Conduct workplace investigations and help resolve employee issues in line with company policies and employment legislation. \n
Talent Acquisition & Development
\n- \n
- Support recruitment activities, including candidate interviews and cultural fit assessments. \n
- Coordinate training and development initiatives, including booking sessions and maintaining training records. \n
- Identify learning and development opportunities to support employee growth. \n
HR Compliance & Policy
\n- \n
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice. \n
- Support the review and development of HR policies and procedures. \n
- Provide guidance on HR-related matters, escalating complex issues where appropriate. \n
HR Systems, Payroll & Benefits
\n- \n
- Maintain HR systems (including CezanneHR), ensuring accurate employee data and reporting. \n
- Support payroll administration, pension reporting and employee benefits processes. \n
- Maintain records relating to leave, pensions and other employee entitlements. \n
Employee Lifecycle & Culture
\n- \n
- Support the employee journey from recruitment and onboarding through to probation and development. \n
- Partner with managers to understand workforce needs and skills requirements. \n
- Help deliver employee engagement, training and wellbeing initiatives, including company social events. \n
- Provide general HR administration and project support across the People & Culture function. \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a HR Advisor or similar \n
- Good understanding of employment law and HR best practices. \n
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation \n
