This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in promoting independence while supporting access to learning, school life and extracurricular opportunities.The student has a passion for music and creative media and is looking for someone who can build a genuine, trusting relationship while encouraging her to develop confidence and independence. The role requires someone who is perceptive, adaptable and able to recognise when support is needed and when to step back.You will work closely with teaching staff, the student's family and external therapists to ensure she can fully access her education and achieve her potential.Learning Support Assistant Role OverviewFull-time, long-term position from September 2026£110£120 per day (term-time only)Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a student with Cerebral PalsyPromoting independence across all aspects of school lifeSupporting with physical access, mobility, assistive technology and specialist equipmentAssisting with the use of technology, including music production software and creative media equipmentLiaising with teachers, therapists and family to provide consistent, high-quality supportFull training provided by the student's Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, including postural management, movement breaks and therapy carry-overExcellent experience for aspiring Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists or TeachersLearning Support Assistant Person Specification2:1 degree or above from a leading UK universityPrevious experience working with children or young people is desirableExperience supporting individuals with SEND or physical disabilities in education, healthcare, community or family settings is highly desirableGraduates in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Youth Work or related subjects are encouraged to applyConfident using technology and keen to learn assistive technology and specialist equipmentAn interest in music or creative media would be advantageousWarm, professional communication skills with the ability to build trust and maintain clear communication with colleagues and familyExcellent judgement, problem-solving skills and a genuine commitment to empowering young people to become as independent as possibleThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young person's life while gaining invaluable experience within a supportive independent school environment.To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role, apply today or contact Ribbons & Reeves for further information.Learning Support Assistant | September 2026TPBN1_UKTJ
