Job Description

Role OverviewProject CoordinationThe Structured Cabling Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of structured cabling and network infrastructure projects. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing schedules, liaising with clients, contractors and engineers, ensuring installations are completed on time, within scope, and to required quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, scheduling, and delivering projects of varying size (copper, fibre and AV).Coordinate project timelines, resources, and logistics to ensure smooth execution.Ensuring that project documentation, materials and pre-requisites for project start are in place.Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Support project handovers, documentation, and close-out processes.Give direction to the Project Support Officer and provide instruction as required to ensure seamless integration of the project lifecycleStakeholder CommunicationAct as a key point of contact between clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Schedule site visits, surveys, and installation activities.Ensure clear communication of project requirements, changes, and updates.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate project documentation including:RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)Produce progress reports and track key performance metrics.Progress ReportingManaging Staged Payments and Valuations SummariesRaising Interim Claims and Final InvoicesDrawings and schematicsTest results and certificationAs-built documentationResource & Logistics ManagementCoordinate engineers, installation teams, and subcontractors.Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are ordered and delivered on time.Monitor stock levels and support procurement activities.Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all work complies with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ISO, BS EN).Promote adherence to health & safety regulations at all times.Support quality checks, testing, and commissioning processes.Key Skills & ExperienceEssentialExperience working within structured cabling, telecoms, or IT infrastructure projects.Strong organisational and coordination skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.DesirableKnowledge of copper and fibre cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre optic).Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).Understanding of health & safety regulations (e.g., CSCS, SSSTS).Experience with drawings, network diagrams, or VisioQualificationsRelevant experience in project coordination or administration within construction, telecoms, or IT infrastructure.Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI, CNCI, PRINCE2 Foundation) are advantageous but not essential.Key CompetenciesStrong attention to detailProblem-solving and initiativeTime management and prioritisationTeam collaborationCustomer-focused mindsetWhat we offer/General InformationCompetitive salary dependent on experience20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (additional days accrue with length of service)Annual leave purchase schemeA stable role within an established and growing businessCompany pensionRegular company events and team incentivesOffice-basedFlexibility to meet project deadlines when required.TPBN1_UKTJ
