Position Overview A Mobile Building Engineer provides on-site technical support, maintenance, and engineering services across multiple building locations within a designated geographic area. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with travel requirements to ensure optimal building operations and tenant satisfaction.Key Responsibilities Building Systems ManagementPerform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across assigned propertiesConduct routine inspections of building equipment including boilers, chillers, generators, elevators, and fire safety systemsMonitor and optimize building performance to ensure energy efficiency and cost-effectivenessEmergency Response and RepairsRespond to urgent maintenance requests and emergency calls across multiple sitesDiagnose equipment failures and implement immediate solutions to minimize downtimeCoordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairsMaintain emergency contact protocols and after-hours response capabilitiesCompliance and SafetyEnsure all building systems comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standardsConduct safety inspections and maintain required documentationManage environmental compliance including waste management and hazardous materials handlingMaintain current certifications and licenses as required by jurisdictionDocumentation and ReportingComplete detailed work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reportsTrack equipment performance data and recommend capital improvementsMaintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies across locationsProvide regular status updates to property management teamsExperience3-5 years of building maintenance or facilities management experienceExperience with commercial building systems and equipmentKnowledge of building automation systems and energy managementPrevious mobile or multi-site experience preferredTechnical SkillsProficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsExperience with computerized maintenance management systems BMSThis role is ideal for experienced building engineers who enjoy variety, travel, and working independently while maintaining multiple client relationships across a portfolio of commercial properties.TPBN1_UKTJ
