On offer is an opportunity to work for a company that have an excellent reputation in their industry and a state-of-the-art facility to enable them to deliver on bespoke projects for a range of clients.Based in Manchester we are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis to join our developing Quality Department. We have a wide variety of prestigious clients on some of the most exciting Military and Civil aviation training engineering projects around the world and this role will be instrumental in developing this area of our business.About the role:Act as the deputy to the EDM Quality Manager in their absenceMaintain and plan the EDM internal and external audit planOversee EDM equipment Calibration requirementsSupport Factory and/or Site Acceptable Testing when requiredSupport Test activities including: Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) when required and manage the diaryVerification of stages during buildRecording of errors and collating trendsTesting of systems both mechanical and electronicAssist in the creation and closure of EDM Non ConformancesAssist in bids and review quality requirementsAssist in maintaining the EDM Quality Manual and EDM processesRespond to customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner and maintain recordsManage & maintain proprietary systems data within the company computer systemsMaintain the EDM MRB (Material Review Board) SystemDevelop EDM inspection capability to deliver cost effective verification methodsKey Requirements:Experience in solving problems and driving improvementsExperience with ISO 9001Understanding of GD&T and its applicationsUse of modern measuring equipment and determining best and most effective useExperience of working in ImperialExperience in FAIR processes to AS9102Understanding of CE marking requirementsFamiliar with the use of Microsoft Office Packages i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.Willingness to travel to customer sites as and when requiredAbility to achieve UK security clearance essentialFrom us:Flexible start and finish times1 day a week working from homeSupportive and enjoyable working environmentContinuous Training and developmentCompany Pension25 days holiday + public holidays pro rataLife Insurance following 12 months servicePlease click on the APPLY button to submit your CV for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Quality Engineer, High Precision Manufacturing, Aerospace Quality Engineer, AS9102, FAIRs, Mechanical Quality Engineer, ISO 9001, Internal Auditor, FAT/SAT, GD&T, Calibration Engineer, Non-Conformance, MRB, Quality Inspector, Defence Engineering, Compliance Engineer may also be considered for this role.TPBN1_UKTJ
