Health & Safety Advisor Major Civils Project (Hampshire) Employment Type: Permanent Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure / HSEAbout the Role Were recruiting a site-based Health & Safety Advisor to join a major UK civil engineering project in East Anglia. Youll work alongside an experienced H&S Manager and wider site team, providing hands-on support, coaching, monitoring and guidance to ensure safe, compliant and efficient site operations.This is a long-term opportunity offering progression, professional development and exposure to large-scale infrastructure works. Youll report to the Project Contracts Director, Contracts Manager and Senior HSE Manager, becoming a key part of the projects HSE function.Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day H&S support, coaching and mentoring to site teamsCarry out site inspections, audits and compliance checksSupport incident management, investigations and reportingAdvise on RAMS, safe systems of work, risk assessments and contractor managementDeliver briefings, toolbox talks and safety inductionsChampion ISO 45001 compliance and continuous improvementLiaise with clients, regulators, H&S specialists and internal stakeholdersContribute to company-wide HSE initiatives and behavioural safety programmesAssist with documentation, reporting, bid support and accreditation processesWhat Were Looking For Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate (NEBOSH Diploma desirable)Tech IOSH / Cert IOSH (or working towards chartered status)Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil engineering contractor preferredStrong communication skills written, verbal and presentationConfident engaging with workforce, contractors, clients and regulatorsSelf-motivated, organised, reliable and proactiveGood IT literacy (Microsoft Office)Full UK driving licenceWillingness to travel and stay away when requiredWhats on Offer Competitive salaryCompany pension scheme25 days holiday + bank holidaysOngoing training, development and professional supportCompany vehicle or car allowance (role dependent)Long-term career progression within a growing civil engineering businessTPBN1_UKTJ
