Mechanical Maintenance Engineers Required (Days & Shift Opportunities)Location: Trafford Park, Greater ManchesterSalary:Days: £42,770 - £50,641 per annum (DOE)4 on 4 off Shifts: £49,185 - £57,056 per annum (DOE, including 15% Shift Allowance)Hours:Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 5:00pmOR4 on 4 off rotating Days & NightsJob Type: PermanentJDR Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for multiple Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join a leading heavy industrial manufacturing business based in Trafford Park.Whether you're looking for a traditional Monday to Friday role or prefer a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, we have excellent permanent opportunities available.Working as part of an experienced Engineering team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of a wide range of heavy industrial plant and machinery through planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and continuous improvement activities.The RoleYour duties will include:Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across heavy industrial plant and machineryDiagnosing and repairing mechanical faultsMaintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systemsManaging planned preventative maintenance schedules through the CMMS systemIssuing and controlling Permits to WorkManaging and supervising external contractorsCompleting maintenance documentationSupporting continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficientlyPromoting a strong health and safety culture across siteYou'll be maintaining equipment including:ShreddersBalersShearsConveyor systemsCranesWheel loadersBulldozersHeavy industrial processing equipmentWhat We're Looking ForEssentialNVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (Level 2 will also be considered where supported by significant time-served experience)Previous mechanical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial environmentStrong understanding of planned preventative maintenance systemsExcellent mechanical fault-finding skillsAbility to work independently and use your own initiativeDesirableBasic electrical knowledgeHydraulic fault finding and repairWelding and fabrication experienceCounterbalance FLT licenceIPAF qualificationIOSH qualificationExperience operating Cherry Pickers and Scissor LiftsExperience working at heightExperience working in confined spacesPrevious experience within recycling, scrap, quarrying, mining, steel, aggregates or similar heavy industrial sectorsPersonal AttributesWe're looking for someone who is:Hardworking and dependableDiligent with excellent attention to detailHealth and safety focusedAble to work under pressure and use their own initiativeCommitted to maintaining high engineering standardsWhat's on OfferMonday to Friday Days: £42,770 - £50,641 per annum (DOE)4 on 4 off Shifts: £49,185 - £57,056 per annum (DOE, including 15% Shift Allowance)Please indicate your preferred shift pattern when applyingDay shift overtime paid at time and a half for all hours worked over and above your contracted hoursShift overtime paid at your standard hourly rateMedicare Health PlanOngoing training and developmentLong-term career opportunities within a growing businessOpportunity to work on a wide range of heavy industrial machineryHOW TO APPLYTo apply for this vacancy, please click 'apply now' to submit your CV and a member of our team will be in touch.JDRMansfieldWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
