Novara People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Halifax for an experienced Fabricator.Our client specialises in the manufacture of large structural steel products used within commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their night shift team with a skilled Fabricator who takes pride in producing high-quality work.This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and modern manufacturing environment with long-term prospects and regular overtime available.Night Shift Monday to Thursday, 7:30pm 6:00amDutiesFabricating structural steel components from detailed engineering drawingsReading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication specificationsMeasuring, marking out and preparing steel sectionsCutting, drilling, grinding and assembling steel componentsTack welding components where required before final weldingOperating workshop machinery including saws, drills and fabrication equipmentUsing overhead cranes to move materials safely around the workshop (training can be provided if required)Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets specificationWorking closely with welders and other members of the production teamMaintaining a clean, organised and safe working environmentFollowing all health and safety procedures at all timesSkills RequiredPrevious experience as a Fabricator within a structural steel or heavy engineering environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsConfident using fabrication tools and workshop machineryStrong measuring and marking out skillsExcellent attention to detailAble to work independently and as part of a teamReliable with a strong work ethicOverhead crane experience would be beneficial but is not essentialTPBN1_UKTJ
