Rich in heritage and proud market leaders in their field they are a recognised employer of choice in the region.The opportunityThis position will suit an ambitious and technically strong candidate with proven experience as a Finance Director and the desire to embark on an exciting journey with a growing, successful business. As a member of the site managing Board, you should be comfortable occupying a visible leadership role with influence. The principal requirement is to manage the finance department, liaising closely with the MD, management team and stakeholders internationally to drive strategic growth and profitability, minimise risk and ensure regulatory compliance. You will be heavily involved with shaping the strategy and future development of the company, strengthening culture and driving change.Key dutiesTo lead and develop the finance team and HR departmentBusiness partner with the MD and senior leadership team to drive profitabilityOwn all financial reporting, budgeting and forecastingControl costs, manage liquidity and cashflow in various currenciesEnsure compliance with UK GAAP and corporate directives of the GroupProvide reporting into Group and site stakeholdersAnalyse and present meaningful financial data for business review meetingsDrive high performance and positive change by setting targets and monitoring KPIsResponsible for company secretarial matters, liaising with lawyers, advisers etc.Develop longer term projections and execute business strategy by devising financial plansMonitor investments, appraising CAPEX cases and managing riskAssist other Directors / department management by providing financial information and analysisLiaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory year end auditManage HR Department, involved in setting HR strategy and policies to support long term goalsActively promote company culture and values, develop employee engagement and well beingSupport organisational change and digital transformation across the businessRequired skills and qualificationsQualified accountant (e.g ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong academic pedigreePrevious experience as a Finance Director in a leadership roleInspiring management style to drive high performance cultureStrong technical ability, knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory reportingExcellent communication and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levelsDown to earth with operational mindset and commercial acumenKnowledge of ERP systems, data analysis and business management tools.Experience of international trade and manufacturing from a medium / large business.Following recent investment in a new facility on site this is truly an exciting time to be joining this company as they launch into new markets.
