Job Description
This opportunity calls for an experienced pharmacist to provide dedicated care in a pediatric hospital setting. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective medication management for young patients while working within a supportive clinical environment.
Location: Austin, TX
Assignment Type: Travel, 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Night shift, 7 days on / 7 days off, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify medications accurately for hospitalized pediatric patients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmaceutical care plans
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis systems to manage medication distribution and documentation
- Monitor drug therapies for safety and effectiveness within an inpatient setting
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist in Texas
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, preferably within pediatrics
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining excellent communication
This role offers the potential to transition from night shift to a daytime schedule later in the assignment, providing coverage for a pharmacist on FMLA until mid-January 2027.
