Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A long-term care pharmacist position is available on a contract basis in Butler, PA, with a commitment of 40 hours per week and a potential extension beyond the initial one-month assignment. Candidates may also be considered for an 8-week contract. The role primarily involves supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care settings.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities include verifying orders entered by data entry technicians, reviewing blister-packed and sterile/non-sterile medications, and answering clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians. Additional duties cover counting controlled substances with accurate documentation in the perpetual inventory, and checking emergency medication boxes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist licensed and in good standing in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; long-term care experience preferred
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform fine motor tasks; visual acuity required
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Familiarity with pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC is essential to perform day-to-day tasks efficiently.
